David, this personal account of how you came to leave corporate America strikes a chord with me. I am fortunate now to be in a role, still within corporate America, that allows me not to deal with too many spreadsheets and rather invest in the future of our youth and our planet. Without having been able to make this transition, I don't think I could continue as I have.
Thank you for your honesty and integrity.

Boy is this a challenging story! David, I was touched by how you expressed your integrity. Such shocks to the soul make us who we are, I suppose, but they sure never feel good at the time. To understand them, learn from them -- recover from them -- to keep moving and leading takes remarkable character. Thanks for showing the way....

Bruno, many thanks for your feedback. I appreciate your deeper understanding here, and the way you've put that into action in your career. I'm a fan!

Dan, I appreciate your comments. That was a big step for me, one that I only wish was 100% about character and integrity. At the time, I think it felt like the ONLY thing I could do, and with it, was some measure of desperation. In the 20/20 mirror of retrospect though, it was just right.
